Brazil, Sao Paulo: Figueira Rubaiyat Restaurant Review

As this was our first trip to Sao Paulo, we had heard from friends and colleagues that Brazilian meals are equally delicious and big portioned.  Excited at the opportunity to explore this further, we dined at the acclaimed  Figueira Rubaiyat restaurant in Rua Haddock Lobo.  A typical Brazilian steak house popular with both tourists and locals.

Apart from the fantastic food selection and ambience, Figueira Rubaiyat is well known due to the huge fig tree in the center of the restaurant.

With an extensive international menu offering not only different meat selections and multiple side options, they also offer seafood options which are equally delicious.  The excellent service is well complimented by the friendly and efficient staff.

We ordered the lamb chops which were of excellent quality and taste whilst our friends enjoyed the local Brazilian steaks which they raved about.

The portions are well sized so do make sure you have worked up quite an appetite before visiting the restaurant.

The ambience sets both a mellow and relaxing lunch or dinner.  We highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Sao Paulo and definitely will be back.

Our overall rating is a 5 out of 5 for food, atmosphere and service.
